F1 means "first generation cross." A purebred Wagyu bull bred with a Black Angus cow. The offspring carry 50% Wagyu genetics — and those genetics show up directly in the marbling.
The result is beef that scores above USDA Prime on most cuts — richer, more flavorful, and notably more tender than standard Angus beef — without the premium price of full-blood Wagyu.
This is the tier most people land on and stay on. If you've never had Wagyu-influenced beef, F1 is where to start. If you know Wagyu but want something you can buy regularly, this is the answer.
Same Utah rangeland. Same no-hormone, no-antibiotic standard. Just more marbling — at a price point that makes sense.
